• Introduction
  • We Care Charitable Trust welcomes the support of volunteers to enrich our programs and improve the lives of specially-abled children.
  • This policy outlines the principles and procedures for engaging volunteers in a safe, respectful, and impactful manner.
• Objectives
  • To define the role of volunteers in our organization.
  • To ensure a consistent and fair approach to volunteer management.
  • To protect the interests of both the Trust and the volunteers.
• Who Can Volunteer?
  • Individuals above 18 years of age (younger volunteers may be considered with parental consent).
  • People passionate about working with children with special needs.
  • Professionals including therapists, special educators, counselors, and students seeking field experience.
• Areas of Volunteering
  • Assisting in classrooms and therapy sessions
  • Organizing events and workshops
  • Administrative and fundraising support
  • Social media and awareness campaigns
  • Community outreach programs
• Volunteer Selection
  • Volunteers must complete an application form.
  • An interview or informal meeting will be conducted.
  • Background checks may be required for roles involving direct contact with children.
• Orientation and Training
  • All volunteers will receive orientation about the NGO’s mission, values, and child protection policies.
  • Specific training will be provided based on the role assigned.
• Code of Conduct
  • Volunteers must:
    • Respect the dignity, rights, and privacy of children and staff.
    • Maintain confidentiality.
    • Avoid any form of abuse or neglect.
    • Follow staff instructions and report any concerns immediately.
• Working Hours and Commitment
  • Volunteers are expected to be punctual and reliable.
  • A minimum commitment of 4 hours/week is recommended, but flexible opportunities are available.
  • Certificates of appreciation will be provided based on duration and contribution.
• Health & Safety
  • Volunteers must follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards.
  • The Trust is not responsible for any injuries outside of organized activities.
• Ending the Volunteer Service
  • Either party may end the volunteer service with prior notice.
  • Volunteers are requested to provide feedback upon completion.
