NIOS – Open Basic Education (OBE) Curriculum for Special Kids

📘 What is NIOS?
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is a government-recognized board that offers flexible, inclusive, and affordable education options for all children, including those with disabilities or learning challenges. It is under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
🎯 What is the OBE Curriculum?
OBE (Open Basic Education) is a specially designed program under NIOS for:
- Children with intellectual, developmental, learning, or physical disabilities
- Children who are unable to cope with mainstream school syllabus
- Out-of-school or never-enrolled learners aged 6–14 years
The OBE curriculum is divided into three levels, equivalent to Classes 1 to 8:

🧑🏫 Who Can Enroll in OBE at Our Center?
- Children with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, etc.
- Those assessed by clinical psychologists and recommended for special education
- Students who cannot manage regular school settings
📄 Documents Needed for NIOS OBE Registration
- Child’s birth certificate or age proof
- Disability certificate (if available)
- Passport-size photos
- Parent’s ID proof
- Assessment/psychological report (if applicable)
